Yes big thanks to hotel staff to allow us for late checkout without any extra charges as our flight was delayed by 2 hrs.. thanks a lot for that.. “The hotel interior, it’s location, the comfortable bed, toiletries - it was all great. The views from my executive suite were incredible. What was even better - the people. The service I received here was amazing. Jorge at the front desk was so very helpful, and Adrian from the executive lounge went the extra mile to ensure I had an unforgettable stay - thanks to them I will only be staying at JW Marriott when in Lima. Thank you so much for the experience. ” The hotel interior, it’s location, the comfortable bed, toiletries - it was all great. The views from my executive suite were incredible. Our special thanks to Federico and German that was very kind with us. Great recipe, thanks for sharing! I love Greece and tzatziki alongside gyro are two of my favourite dishes to try when I’m there. I’ve tried to make tzatziki in Skopje a few times, but somehow it never tastes the same. I guess the atmosphere plays an important role when it comes to Greek and probably every other cuisine out there. 🙂 Have been diving out of Blue Marlin Dive Tech in Ocotober 2018 and January 2019. Got introduced to the dark side. Did do the TDI ANDP and TDI Extended Rrange Course with Theresia Gollner, fantastic teacher. It was a great experience thanks to the pros,...More “Everyone very friendly and very helpful. Big thanks to Hamdi for all his help in our setup and for playing guitar for us during our special romantic dinner. Ver...” Hey guys! I’ve been an avid follower of your blog since I read this post just before going to Bali myself. I stayed in Spartacvs based on your recommendation, and it was so much fun! I stayed in another clothing optional resort called Bali au Naturel, though that was not as much fun. However, while in Bali did you guys hear of any Gay Traveler’s Hostels? I always prefer youth hostels because of the community, but couldn’t find any gay ones. Anyway, thanks for the recommendation! I’m traveling to Thailand and the Philippines next so imma try and find your posts from those countries next 🙂 “Check in experience was smooth ( oh and thanks for the upgrade too), loved the room, the space, the view from the room (I stayed on the 13th floor) and how its walking distance to places of interest. Stunning sunset location. Buffet breakfast was great (although very busy with families) loads of different options and live cooking stations - chefs would bring freshly cooked items to our table if something ran out. Nothing is too much trouble for ANY of the staff. A special honeymoon welcome was waiting for us in our room. Late check out also accommodated - thanks to Wati :)” One of the nicest locations in KK if you want beach front property away from the citys hustle and bustle (although KKs beaches themselves dont compare to the islands if youre wanting clear waters for swimming). Suzaine accomodate us very well in their office in Lio telling us everything about scuba diving. My husband and I were so scared at first but thanks to Kuya Kaka, helped us a lot...More The best asset of this place is def its staff! They helped us to organise island hopping tours through UMI travel & tour - would def recommend! Jason and Ramon are the best island hopping guides, made our stay such a great experience! I got sick on a day of the 2nd tour, no problem to reschedule the very last minute, with no additional cost! Big thanks to the hotel’s staff! LOL thanks Claire! They are really tasty little things, but we only had the ones which had been refrigerated as opposed to the ones that had been lying around all day.

It was a huge yellow “M” in a very busy (sad to say, based on health ussues) burger joint. I’m afraid it is catching on, the Cambodian diet was rich in vegetables, rice, and fish, now fast food is becoming quickly “fashionable”. I thnk they had to remove 4 bolts to reverse the M so did not hurt the bottom line. Funny too, but they had a ball room for the kids, where thousands of about 5 inch plastic balls are stacked in a room and kids can jump in them and bury themselves and wrestle etc. Did not get the concept or could not afford it, so the ball room had lees than one full layer of balls, basically all you could do was trip on them. Took me a month to feel comfortable drimign, the secret of a good driver is to never stop, not for a left turn, not for a light, not for anything, you’d get such a beeping from behind if you did not figure out how to keep moving. Anyway, thanks for triggering some great memories, this finds me wanting to return., Mac Service was good, all the staff were really friendly and helpful. Nothing bad but just family room at top floor was too hot but thanks that they provided us a fan to make it better. We were check-our early to airport, thanks hotel prepared breakfast boxes for us but maybe hotel can improve the breakfast box to sandwich instead of toss then will be perfect. Awwww thanks Bem. Laos is great for cocktails but very dangerous as the damn things are not the healthiest and when they’re so cheap, it’s hard to resist 🙁 A special thanks goes to the wonderful stuff T the breakfast: Matin, Pon and Pat! You guys were absolutely great! Hi Otto thanks for your commment. We’d recommend skipping Koh Tao unless you wanna get a diving course under your belt- it’s very cheap there. Otherwise head to Koh Lipe: stunning and Tarutao/Adang is close by for snorkelling and other adventure fun – with far fewer crowds. “Excellent brake fast great location comfortable bed .....big room nice balacony special thanks to mrs Maryam in intercontinental reception 6th floor for her vabulas service and smile really appreciated her hard work to keep quest satisfied .....all team in brake fast restaurant really provide us excellent service with smile .....strong recommended for sure will return back again .....”

In general they managed to keep high standards and the rooms still look like new. Restaurants Porter House and Moana offer great food selection, excellent service and nice atmosphere although prices could be more moderate. Special thanks to the restaurant manager Margarita who made our stay very enjoyable.” I was already in this hotel when it was just opened and liked it very much. How much does it usually cost to get from Colombo airport to Bentota? Which I think may be approx 60-90 Kilometers. The resort we are staying at have quoted us 100 dollars (U.S) for one way. I’m trying to figure out if this is ok or if it would be cheaper to get a taxi from the airport and if they would know the way. Any suggestions much appreciated, thanks Lyndsey Our pleasure and thanks for reading. Yes you can take wine on the train and you don’t need to cover up in public. With tipping we always went for a safe 10%. There is no malaria in Sri Lanka but there is lots of dengue and they don’t have any decent mosquito product (they sell citronella which doesn’t last long). Bring lots of mosquito product before you arrive.

Hi Sumita thanks for your message. In all honesty I’d recommend skipping Kandy and head straight to Ella- it was by far our favourite of the 3 🙂 Hi John, thanks for your comment. Red is what we have covered and blue is just a big very very changeable Wish List!! We’re only really planned up until April as we have to meet friends, but thereafter we need to sit down and plan. September is slowly being extended to December at this rate 🙂 Special thanks to Alex for everything and special thanks to the whole W team. We spent a week in the beginning of March with two little children at Serene Sky Guesthouse in Thoddoo. It is a lovely, friendly atmosphere, relaxed guesthouse near to the port and the supermarket. It is a bit far from the beautiful bikini-beach, but it is not a problem, as you can rent bike or request for buggy service for 4 USD there and back, which is the most comfortable way to get anywhere on the island, especially with little children and lots of bags and stuff to carry. With buggy it lasts 5 minutes to get on the beach and you can see the papaya, coconut and other plantations on the way. The bikini beach is the most gorgeus I have ever seen on Maldives or anywhere else in the world. Now the second bikini beach is being built very close to the Serene Sky Guesthouse. The guesthouse is clean and tidy, every day linenchange and roomcleaning. The staff is very friendly and helpful, whatever we requested, they immidiately did they best for us. The food is tasty and hearty, you can taste the real maldivian food. Nice local maldivian restaurants can be found very near. The guesthouse arrange different tours for very good price (manta snorkeling, sandbank picnic, resort visit for those who wants to drink some alcohol during the stay). Many many thanks to Karam, the owner, to Jane, who was always there for us and to all the guys who really made our stay comfotable, pleasant and unforgettable! “Many thanks to Karam for the unforgettable holiday and hospitality. Great island and great people. Particular thanks for the Manta Ray and Picnic Island. It was amazing.” “Amazing staff, buffet breakfast, fresh fruit everyday day, fresh juice everyday, tasty dinner, cleaning and new towels everyday, awesome trips- sand bank, fishing, snorkling- all in good prices. Special thanks to men, who follow us to trips. Giving more than we pay, well done!”

Special thanks to men, who follow us to trips. Giving more than we pay, well done! FYI, they’re now charging UK passport holders a whopping Rs 17,500!!! And only giving 3 month visas these days. But thanks SO much for the great guide, I’m sure I would’ve made at least one unnecessary and wasted trip if I hadn’t read this first. Hey guys, thanks for clearing up so many little things! Just wondering if anybody has had experience or difficulties getting a 6 month visa for India in Nepal with an Australian passport? Finding it hard to sift through all the small print, thanks again 🙂 Awww thanks M. We stayed at Beauty Mount Inn where they do cooking classes each evening – definitely recommend a stay there: www.beautymountella.com/ Thanks Stefan, so I just ask a driver to take us to Nuwara Eliya train station? Trying to figure out the exact location so we know where to go when we arrive, thanks
