“Awesome old teak villa deep in the jungle, it was very private. The view was amazing, overlooking monkeys in the trees and with the sound of the river rushing below. Highly recommended if you are wanting to get close to nature. The regular shuttles to Ubud were great given it is a little way out of the centre.” “The view is spectacular worth a million dollars. The serenity the flow of the river below and seeing monkeys swing around is priceless. The hosts at the villa went above and beyond to cater our every needs. We where even invited to the local ceremony in which they also gave us clothes to wear. What an experience. They offer drop offs to and from Ubud. Our driver was amazing also very honest and a beautiful person.” Guests can enjoy the views of mountain and river from the terrace or balcony. The rooms overlooking the river are great

Taxi drivers advised us its closed for repair. “The room size is very generous and there were a few drinks in the fridge which were complimentary. The staff were friendly and helpful. Location is great as its near to pantai cenang. Its convenient that they provide a mobile phone to communicate directly with their staff and driver. ” The room size is very generous and there were a few drinks in the fridge which were complimentary. We felt the cave tour was a little overpriced. We thought it was a great experience, with the river ride included, but found out it could be done a lot cheaper at the park itself. Set facing the calming views of the river, this large room features large panoramic windows and air conditioning. Guests are provided with a minibar, desk and ironing facilities. Private bathroom is equipped with a shower, hairdryer and free toiletries. With well-designed rooms and suites, the resort offers guests with beautiful views of the tropical rainforest and river surrounding the property from their accommodation. “Breakfast on the river patio and the lovely rooftop deck.”

The villa is slightly further from the centre of SR than I thought. They have a great driver to take you from the villa, but as tuk tuk dtivers generally can’t find their backside with both hands, getting back in an evening can be a challenge “The owners (Herve and Stephane) were extremely hospitable and helpful, making us really feel at home. They are more than happy to arrange tours, drivers, event tickets etc. The hotel pool is so nice to come back to after a day out and about. Its surrounded by a mini-jungle of trees and plants which makes it feel very tropical. We stayed for two weeks and wish it could have been two months. Bed was comfortable, water pressure in shower was great, AC worked well. They arranged a tour guide and driver for me on two days who were excellent. The owner Pierre provided me with very good restaurant recommendations. Pool was lovely. Had an amazing massage on site. Easy to get a tuk tuk out front.” Staff were amazing - super helpful and friendly. Facilities were gorgeous. Food was delicious and beer was cold. Really friendly smiley staff and super large suite with separate bedroom and large bed - thank you for the upgrade! This is a small hotel so very private and some days we had the pool pretty much to ourselves. Nice large sunbeds and lovely planting and flowers round the pool. It’s in a great area near lots of great restaurants and you can walk to Pub Street across the river in about 10 mins. Very welcoming and hospitable.

“The size of the hotel was perfect! There are only 12 rooms and it was very quiet yet very close to the river, Pub Street, and the night market. Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast, which was included, was a great way to start the day and there were several choices to accommodate all tastes. And, having the benefit of eight pieces of laundry done each day was excellent especially since this was our first stop during a 26 day trip. ” “I loved the staff and location. Very friendly, slightly away from the busier side of the Siem Reap Pub Street, closer to the nicer restaurants and off the main road. Always a Tuk Tuk Driver outside waiting to help, staff were incredible and it was a great place to stay while travelling back and forth from the Angkor Wat ruins. Perfection. They have changed the styles of the rooms before we got there but they were clean, lush and met our needs. Pool was clean, not to busy at all, breakfast was lush.” “It’s within walking distance to old market. Very clean, with a lovely swimming pool. The breakfast is good, not too much choice but taste nice. And the staff are super nice, as well as the tuk tuk driver. We enjoyed the days staying here.” The size of the hotel was perfect! One of the most relaxing and pleasant little hotels I have stayed on. Everything is so neat and clean and beautiful. It’s really quiet and the staff will go out of their way to make you happy. Grab a free bike and go temple hunting. The river, the market and the charming city center is only 10 minutes away. And make sure you get up in time for breakfast. It is really delicious with crispy baguettes, croissants, pancakes and eggs cooked as you like it, fruit, yoghurt and little jars of this and that. All set up with candles. Yummy. You can order rice with curry for dinner - definitely do it, it was vary tasty! Since the accommodation is located in the mountains it was quite cold in the evening. We were offered with a bottle of warm water to get hotter - super. Possibility to arrange a trip to Horton Plains - the driver who will pick you up in the accommodation will take you to the NP and wait for you and then take you back to the city or unload you on the way to the train (5000 LKR per car and driver - without entering NP - the one paid separately). The owner of the accommodation, very well educated about a worldwide economy, speaks very good English as well as his daughter, who with us from booking the accommodation communicated through whats up and subsequently provided further very valuable information and tips on what to visit in the area. From the accommodation to the center it takes about 10 min by walk. Thank you for the opportunity to sleep and dinner with you! George and Kate from Czech republic. We were also concerned about the quality of accommodation that was offered to our driver-24 people to a room which isn’t conducive to a good nights sleep. Due to the noise level our driver ended up sleeping his car which didn’t bode well as he had a full days driving ahead. The hotel offers mini golf and Billiards in true colonial style and the guests are welcome to use the fitness facilities in the fitness room. Accommodation and meals are free for hired drivers of in-house guests. The only minor point I can think of was the driver accommodation. We had a driver for 7 nights and although they do have rooms, our driver had to find his own place to stay as they said they had the owners staying. Not major but we felt bad for our driver. But even taking this little inconvenience in account we had a perfect stay in this hotel mostly because of the kindness and the hospitality of the staff!! They recommanded us nice restaurants (even some 5 min from the hotel) an helped us organise our trip to the colca valley. Our trip to the valley would not have been the same without their precious recommendations. They organised our transfer to the busstation an even took time to talk to the driver to ensure we were safe. We felt very welcomed and supported. I can only recommend this place.”

The restaurant area offers a magnificent view on Titicaca Lake and the food was excellent, made of local organic products. We loved the Aji de Gallina, and the local pancakes for breakfast. Fruits were excellent too. Oswaldo and his wife were very generous, they helped us to call Tour Peru in Puno to book our next day bus and our boat driver to ensure we get picked-up at the port closest to the lodge (there are two small pier in Ocosuyo). They also offered to us a small handicraft knitted in wool, something we did not expect. Thank you!” We spent 1 night on Amantani Island at Titicaca Lodge after having spent 1 night on Uros Island. They supposed to come pick me up but due to me travelling on train and didnt get to tell them in detail on my time of arrival, they didnt come. But when I call them, he offered to pay for my taxi and asked me to pass the phone to the driver so that he can tell the driver the location. An extraordinary mixture of restaurants and bars, gift shops and other tourist oriented shops, and seafood in the indoor area, whilst the outdoor area across the road stretches along the side of the river (Rio Mapocho) and various streets and has all sorts of things....More

I jumped on the Kayak and boat tour at the last minute and it was well worth it. The trip was up the river a few kms and about an hours kayaking with thr current. We had a little mate and pastry break shortly before...More Myself and 3 friends did the morning kayak tour in the Parana river. We started the tour about 9am, which was very helpful as they allowed us to do it earlier so we could still get our bus by 1pm. We paddled across the river...More Sebastian took us on his boat for a river tour to the Pararnia island. Thank you Seb, for amazing boat trip. Very unusual experience at the river and island. Great English. We really enjoyed the whole 2 hours. Highly addictive experience. This air-conditioned suite features a bathtub with hydromassage, and views of the river and of Ribera City. It is fitted with a Smart TV, a minibar, a coffee machine and a safety deposit box. All of the elegant and modern guestrooms at Puerto Norte Design Hotel are fitted with a flat-screen cable TV, a minibar, a coffee machine and a safety deposit box. All bathroom facilities are private, some include a spa bath and others a bath tub. Some rooms boast views of the river, and some, of the city.

“Excellent location, lovely pool, amazing river views”

With colonial-style rustic decor, rooms at Hotel Puerto Valle enjoy river views. A buffet breakfast is served daily. The restaurant offers gourmet dishes that can be enjoyed with some fine wines from the property’s cellar. There is also a bar that prepares drinks and snacks. A balcony with river and garden views and a private entrance are featured in all air-conditioned rooms at Mocona Virgin Lodge by DON. Private bathrooms also come with a shower. Went there last night. The owner came out to greet us. Very animated guy good personality. His wife is the cook. Had the garlic shrimp and mixed salad, my wife had the riverfish. Both dishes were excellent. Coul not get over how inexpensive the place...More We had a wonderful meal at this restaurant. The service was impeccable, and from the moment we were greeted by the host through the end of our dessert. The steak options are excellent, there is pasta and a variety of local river fish menu items....More This is a beautifully designed hotel, built into a hillside in the jungle, with a small river running through it and adding to the ambiance. The staff were lovely, the room was large and very comfortable, and the restaurants and facilities were very good.. Also there was some noise from the Brazilian side of the river during the evenings.

Located on the river, perfect for walks and evening market.
